Success Story #1

My name is Robert Mills (Robbie) on June 5th 2013 I maxed out of prison. Which while in prison my family passed away. So I had nowhere are no one to turn to for help. So I became homeless living under the president street bridge. I’ve been to prison six times in two different states Florida and Georgia. Doing a total of 23 years in prison.
While under the president street bridge on October 19th 2013. I met Georgette D. Jackson, Adriana Alverez, and Selma Gunther Brown. And a ever lasting friendship began with these three ladies. And it all started with the simplest thing a bottle of water.
But though these ladies I started going to church on Sunday and Wednesday. I was always looking to better myself and always looking for a job. I never wanted anything for free and I never wanted a hand out if I couldn’t work for it I didn’t need it.
Devine Rest gave me things that money couldn’t buy three everlasting friendships, guidance with everyday problems and how to be a man and be responsible and a productive person in society.

In November 2013 I started a program though step up Savannah. It was the E3 program Educate,Enpower, and employee.

Though this program I got my first job. And moved from homeless to renting a room. Then I started volunteering to help Devine Rest go back into the homeless camps. I became like there protector I made sure that Devine Rest are anyone involved didn’t get games played on them and all members where treated with the up most respect. I did this until November 2015 then I moved to Colorado.
And in August 2015 I met my wife Tracie Robinette. And in October 19th 2017 we got married. She’s my life and soul best thing that’s ever happened to me.
Once moving to Colorado I bounced from job to job never nothing permanent. Until November 2016 I went to truck driving school got my CDL. I drove for various trucking company until June 2019. Then I bought my first truck and opened up my own trucking company. T and R mills trucking LLC.
But none of this wouldn’t be possible. If I hadn’t met these three ladies under the president street bridge back in October
I love you guys with all my heart and soul
Robbie
